Sarah Maple – I’m an edgy contemporary artist – Manchester festival
On the 5th July I stood in the window of House of Fraser all day wearing a Miss World costume and holding up various statements I wrote throughout the day. This was part of the Manchester Festival.
Originally I wanted to display a poster in the window but HOF did not allow it. I handed out flyers instead which had no reference to HOF and were distributed away from the store.
Nobody lost their job.
