Prime, then maybe the insurance should be changed, if you look at the governments batting average, it’s poor at best. I don’t their plan working, its being reviewed by a house/senate who is not reading it, pushed by a president who smokes, written by people who don’t understand it, overseen by a treasury officer with tax trouble, overseen by a obsese surgeon general and lastly being funded by a country that’s almost bankrupt.

i totally agree…insurance in every way is a scam…its obvious that inorder for a business to make profit, they have to bring in more than they spend…when you apply that to insurance, its obvious that people are paying for coverage they either don’t use, or get turned down when they need it because it costs the BUSINESS too much money.
and i mean all insurance (auto, home, etc). don’t get me wrong, i see how it comes in handy to some people, but for the vast majority, it just us over

ever thinkthat maybe we shouldn’t charge the people who want to be doctors hundreds of thousands of dollars to be educated? maybe, just maybe, that would help to lower the costs of medical care? or that there is no competition through insurance, so they raise their rates and deny coverage like crazy? the system is fucked, and people like you say “don’t fix it until you can make everyone happy.”

Prime: Who are you to question what a doctor makes ? They go through 10 years of medical school that is no cakewalk and often costs a million + to attend.
A doctor should be paid more because of the level of education and responsibility. If a doctor made the same as a much lesser skilled profession/trade what would be the motivation to be a doctor ? You’d soon have a nation of slackers with less motivation to excel because they don’t get compensated to excel.
That would hurt progress !
