Where i live they have commercials on tv saying "art sale, this weekend only, nothing over 30$" and they had it on last week as well for this past weekend…..

why do they do this? to make people show up because "this is the only weekend it will happen"?

to draw attention to it.. i’ve also noticed that they have "huge sales" one weekend.. with supposedly low prices.. and then an even bigger sale two days later… that they don’t announce at all… Kohl’s is an example of this.. my bf works there.. always tells me when to shop there.. their announced sales usually suck!

Are there any artists, anywhere, who use appropriation in their portraits?
Someone who is contemporary please? So someone in recent years. If possible who also uses really obscure facial expressions as well. Bonus point?…

i have over 300 works of art how do i get them sold or in a museum?

Museums and Art Galleries do not buy art from unknown artists.

Try looking for local artists and talk to them, a local art club or group should help you find them, they often put on exhibitions where you can display your art for sale. Do a google search for art exhibitions in the area you live.

Look for art galleries which display art and take them a few of your paintings to see if they would be interested in exhibiting them.

Look for local arts and craft shops or businesses and see if they display local artists, sometimes tourist shops, restaurants etc. display the work of local artists.
