What do i use to effectively clean nicotine off an oil painting?
I have a painting that has been around for as long as i can remember and is very dear to me. It needs to be cleaned from years of being in a house of cigarette smokers. I believe it is an oil. The artist was paraplegic who painted by holding the brush in his teeth. And the result of the San Francisco home that he painted is just wonderful. Somebody please help me restore a fond memory from my youth!
Nicotine? It’s far more likely to be tar.
