where can i sale art?

where is somewhere i can sale origional personalized art for people

deviantART is where people make their own accounts and offer to do commissions! Meaning people will pay them to do drawings of whatever they’d like! Of course if the commissioner says that she will not draw nudity or animals, then the one who pays must know that they cannot request for something like that.
First post some examples of your art, before offering to do commissions (personalized art).

how contemporary artists use street language to attract a younger audience?

the use of slang (largely in the Hip Hop community) allows the artist to get down to the average persons level which leads to more relatability between artist and listener.

Which of the two is the best one to visit in NY, The Museum of Modern Art or The Metropolitan Museum of Art?

In terms of oil paintings, specifically by Giovanni Vanni, Vincent Van Gogh, Johannes Vermeer and Jackson Pollock.

You probably would want to go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art because it has art from ancient to present times And I believe it is much bigger.

What material should I use to protect/ finish my oil painting?

I recently bought two small already painted side tables for my dorm room. I used regular wall primer on the tops then used oil paint to paint a picture on top of the primer. Using oil paints was a first for me and I didn’t realize until after I was done that I should have mixed the paint with something first.
Anyway I really like my painting and would like to protect it but still have functioning tables… any suggestions?

There are various varnishes you can use to finish oil paints…dammar is one of them, yellows a bit over time. You can check out www.wetcanvas.com and ask somebody there. They are real experts.

How much is a one of a kind, contemporary art painting by a famous painter here in Austin.Philip Treussell?

I have an original one of a kind painting by a famous painter in Austin and want to know what it"s worth?

Call up a gallery that sells his stuff and ask what it would cost. You may have to take it in so they can see it.

Are the skills of the contemporary martial artists inferior compared to the martial arts masters centuries ago?

let me put it this way:

a USMC sniper team would likely kill every samurai that ever lived before the samurai even knew what was going on.

hypothetically knowledge SHOULD improve, technology SHOULD improve.

however, depending on how one trains, many people today don’t train with the mentality to fight for combat. (and take out the obvious technology improvements in weaponry)

i wouldn’t imagine there were too many hobbyists back in the day.

today we have teh POTENTIAL to be better and by all means we should, but depending on the context and the art in question i don’t see that in all cases we would be since there are not always pressure testing outlets for all arts on the same level.

its really hard to say that you can’t really generalize.

by all rights we should be, but youhave to take into context that most people today are hobbyists and don’t train to fight and kill the way martial arts (aka fighting) were originally designed for.

and there is no cause for this- again however, balance that against the building on past knowledge and the loss of past knowledge and the dilution of it through poor masters and not testing it to learn it properly and the intensity and desire of the student and the societal context that learning to fight actually fits in, and its really anyone’s guess to the point that i don’t think you can generalize one way or the other.

About Abstract Art And Titles Of Paintings?

When viewing most modern art, art that is less figurative, less representative, how important is the title of the work to you in your assessment of the work’s value? Do you ever feel the title is non-essential, or perhaps thrown in as an afterthought? Do titles, based on your personal viewing experience, often (or perhaps rarely) reflect the message the artist is conveying? Or perhaps it detracts from the paintings itself? Perhaps you feel abstract art doesn’t need titles?

More importantly, does the title ever enhance the work, enabling you to better understand where the artist’s life, mind and heart was when the painting (or any other modern art) was being created?

Here is an example. Does the title add to or detract from the value or message the artist has to offer? Does the title fit the painting? Does the title influence how you see the painting and feel what the artist is trying to say?

(‘Down The Tube’)

Sometimes the title helps me understand where the artist is coming from. Sometimes the title eludes me. Sometimes it is better for me to not look at the title at all and decide what the meaning is to me alone. For me, if I don’t get the meaning within a minute or so, the artist hasn’t done a very good job of getting his meaning across.
